The eight-rally, single-class series will kick off in October, featuring great prizes and a special Nations Cup.
Who is the best sim rally driver in the world?
A question that’s simple, but comes with caveats. There’s classes, from top of the line factory WRC rocketships all the way to humble Junior categories and much beloved historics. Then there’s the sheer number of championships, some focused on modern rallying while others look back to annals of history, recreating legends. But has the question truly been answered?
No. Not yet, anyway.
So, what if you send an open invitation to everyone, from alien to amateur, put them in a single class, and tell them to get cracking? And just for added incentive, bring DELE Nordic onboard, who will provide top-of-the-line Simagic equipment for our winners?
Yeah, you just might find the answer.
Okay, enough hype: Let’s get to the facts of the matter.
Cars & Classes
We’ve chosen R5/Rally2 as our class, quite simply because it’s both fast and popular, without some of the difficulties full-bore WRC machinery might provide. Every vehicle from those two categories will be available, so each entrant may pick one according to their preferences.
Rallies & Schedule
As we already mentioned, we’ve got eight rallies in this series. They will take our drivers across each main surface: Tarmac, gravel, and snow. Some events may be mixed, though there will be at least one pure event for each surface.
Our schedule will be as follows:
- Round One 03.10.-06.10.2024 Gravel
- Round Two 24.10.-27.10.2024 Tarmac
- Round Three 28.11.-01.12.2024 Gravel
- Round Four 16.01.-19.01.2025 Snow & Tarmac
- Round Five 20.02.-23.02.2025 Snow
- Round Six 13.03.-16.03.2025 Gravel
- Round Seven 10.04.-13.04.2025 Tarmac
- Round Eight 01.05.-04.05.2025 Tarmac & Gravel
Broadcasting
Each event will be streamed live on Twitch, at twitch.tv/simracingfi. The broadcast will be live during the last few hours of the event, meaning everyone can follow the deciding moments of the rally live, while our expert commentators keep viewers up to date about everything that’s happening.
For more information about the broadcasts and what they entail, as well as how entrants may participate, please refer to the official rulebook.
Nations Cup
There’s also another lingering question among fans and competitors alike: Where do the best rally drivers in the world come from?
…Well, that’s easy. Finland.
Or is it?
There’s a long history of Polish drivers dominating certain categories. Czechs might also have their say in this, as do the French, Lithuanian, German, and British contingents, just to name a few. To settle the issue, we’ve introduced a Nations Cup to our series, hoping to settle this issue if not once and for all, then at least for the upcoming season.
Here’s how it works:
- Top 2 drivers from each nation will count point towards the Nations Cup
- Their scores are added together to determine the score
- Drivers 3rd and below are ‘eliminated’ from the scoresheet for this purpose, in other words if a driver finishes 5th but all drivers above are from the same nation, they will get points for 3rd place
- Top scoring nation at the end of the championship will receive eternal bragging rights!
Got it? No? Don’t worry, our rules & regulations document explains everything in depth!
Prizes
In addition to the customised KARS trophy awarded to the winner, our partners at DELE Nordic were kind enough to provide us with magnificent prizes for the season. The following prizes are for top 3 in individual championship overall standings:
Prizes are picked so that the winner may select theirs first, then 2nd, then 3rd.

SoMe Driver of the Year

Drivers must tag official KARS and DELE Nordic accounts in their social media posts to be eligible.

The championship will have a 6 euro entry fee, which can be completed through this link at Finnish Sim Racing Association ry store or PayPal.
